Roy and Dennis started me in the yellow pages at Mast Advertising and Publishing. After an interlude of 10 years we met again at TWP and again a great experience knowing and reporting to Roy. Roy was a straight forward honest guy that gave me the impetus to be the same. I like to say I have. Rest well Roy. Scott Heyer

I remember in 1980 moving across the country because my mom was offered to be one of the first sales people for an innovative business-to-business yellow pages company in San Diego.

This company, none other than TransWestern Publishing, founded by Roy French and his business partner, Dennis. As a kid I watched as Roy and Dennis led the company to impressive growth, my mother continued in sales and management. I even worked at a summer job in high school designing ads in an emerging field, then called “desktop publishing,” that I learned from my time there that summer. A foundational skill that has served me well, even today, in running my own businesses today. I am thankful on my mother’s behalf, as well as my own, for the opportunity to be part of their entrepreneurial venture.

I am sorry for your loss and send my thoughts and prayers along with this photo for you and your family. Roy, my mother June, Pam, and Dennis - day one of TWP.
