News Death Notice
GOINS, Roy L. Sr. Was born September 4, 1921 at his home on Preble County Line Road. He died on June 18, 2010 at Vancrest Nursing Home in Eaton Ohio. He was 88 years old. Roy married Norma Ruth Ballengee on August 28, 1941 in Gallipolis, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents George Goins and Lulu (Bell) Goins, sisters Bonnie Shelley, Dorothy Pearce, Mildred Banta, brother Harvey Goins, daughter Lulu Gilbert and son Gordon Goins. He is survived by his wife Norma Goins, sisters Jeanett Foreman, Helen Eley, brother Clyde Goins, daughter Ruth McCloskey, son Roy Goins Jr., grandsons David Gilbert, Jeremy McCloskey, Roy Goins III, granddaughters Bonnie Hammontree, Melissa Burkhart, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was an Elder in the Eaton Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 50 years. Memorial services will be Monday June 28, 2010 at 7:30 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 229 Wayne Trace Rd., Eaton, Ohio 45320. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Kingdom Hall or Hospice of Dayton.
