CLEVELAND, Va. – Roy B. Musick, age 82, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, in Maple Grove Health Care Center.
Born March 28, 1925, in Russell County, he was a son of the late Drayton Musick and the late Laura Maxfield Musick. He was a retired employee of Clinchfield Coal Co., a member of the UMWA and he was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille Combs Musick; second wife, Myrtle Beavers Musick; a son, Billy Joe Musick; a son-in-law, Billy Ray Linkous; brothers, Comer, Letcher and Dalton Musick; and sisters, Eva Ruth Musick and Gladys Musick.
Survivors include two daughters, Bernice Hill and husband Bobby, St. Paul, and Estella Linkous, Cleveland; four sons, James Musick and wife Marilyn, Lebanon, Roy Nelson Musick, Abingdon, Odell Musick and wife Gladys, Cleveland, and Jerry Musick and wife Connie, Lebanon; stepdaughter, Betty Sue Smith and husband Jack, Castlewood; 13 grandchildren, Jamie Musick, Tyler Musick, Brandon Musick, Quintin Musick, Chris Musick, Autumn Musick, Melissa Musick, Johnetta Musick, Amy Papas, Angela (Beth) Musick, Kim Nicholson, Terri Ann Hill and Kerensa Linkous; one stepgrandson, Clay Smith; five great-grandsons; five great-granddaughters; five sisters-in-law, Lillian Breeding, Lebanon, Phyllis Ann Austin, Castlewood, and Verna Barton, Linda Ruth Bostic and Novella Barton, all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, in the Combs Funeral Service Chapel, with the Rev. Duane Musick, the Rev. Billy Trail and the Rev. Cecil Musick officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Quintin Musick, Chris Musick, Dakota Musick, Brandon Musick, Tyler Musick, Jamie Musick, Buster Musick and Jason Nicholson. Nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at the funeral home.

to all of you our payers and thoughts are with you sorry we were unable to attend the service for your dad I just lost my natural dad they buried him the day that yours passed away but our thoughts and prayers were with you and know what you all are going through. my family all sends their love annd prayers may god bless you all and give each strenght If anything we can do let us know.you all have been great friends and neighbors and if anything we can do let us know..

Bernice and Bobby,
