Hello, I so saddened to hear of Roy's passing, and send love and condolences to you all. I worked with Roy at Westinghouse. As a new field engineer, I went out with Roy on assignments close to Pittsburgh for training, and appreciated being able to learn from him.
One site we visited, there were several tasks we were working on. I was trying to repair a monitor and he said, " It doesn't matter how long it takes to fix it as long as its done by the end of the day." After I worked on it awhile, he helped out and we were done before the end of the day. He had a great sense of humor, and was very customer satisfaction focused. I really enjoyed working with him and learned so much.
Unfortunately, I just learned of his passing, so, I'm so sorry that I was unable to attend.
Sincerely,
Marilyn Carpenter

Barbara, Matt, Pam and sons,
I did not know your husband/father, father-in-law, grandfather but i do know he must've been a wonderful man to have such a wonderful family. Your family has always treated me and my daughters with kindness during the years we were at the AVSD. I'm sorry I couldn't have paid my respects in person but i was on vacation. God Bless you and your family.

I am so saddened to learn of Roy's passing and send love and condolences to my cousins Barb, Matt, Joe, Amy, Ellen Jo and their families. I'm sorry I couldn't make it to PA to pay my respects in person. I will never forget Roy, who was my first childhood crush, and know that he is now in Heaven reuniting with loved ones who have gone before him.

My deepest sympathy to the Noll Family. Our trips to the beach every year still bring me smile. We had a blast! Roy would always take the kids fishing. There were even a few trips we took the boat with us. Without fail, there was always a mishap with the boat that required Roy's magic touch to fix. Those vacations were a ton of fun and bring back a lot of happy memories. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Roy was a character. My husband and I spent many nights together with Barb and Roy. We watched many football games , and had dinner together before those games. We also checked out fish fries during Lent. We had a lot of fun . We shared many laughs, especially getting lost at away games. You may not know this, but Roy was thrifty! He had coupons galore. I thought of that today when the Harbor Freight sale catalog came. We made many trips there; how many mini flashlights can you have? He was always there if we needed someone. I will miss all the times we spent together. He was proud of his children and grandchildren; always bragging about their accomplishments. He will be missed.

My heartfelt sympathy to your entire family at this difficult time. Even though I did not know your dad personally, I know he and your mom raised three outstanding children. My love and sincere condolences to all.
