Dear Peterson family
Graham and I were fortunate to come to know your parents (and meet a few of you) through my sister Dawn and husband Ted Martin. We send our condolences and hope that soon the tears turn to smiles at the memories of your life with such wonderful parents. Their kindness and integrity have always been a shining example of the best of humankind.

Dear Gillian
My sincerest condolences to you and your family with the loss of your dad. It was a unique privilege to have known both your mom and dad. I will always remember driving with Roy in my old MG along Marine drive, me trying to keep the ol'girl on the road and your dad taking pictures. He was a real character and will be missed.
Take care of yourself.

Like Charles Schulz, Roy Peterson's work was a comforting constant ever since I started reading newspapers. Peterson, though, gave me an amazing chronicle of local, national, and global history infused with intelligence and insight. Thank you and Rest in Peace.
