Roy taught diagnostic testing at Cornell's Westchester Division in the late 70s. I was an intern at the time and appreciated his approach to diagnostic testing I first learned from his colleague Philip S. Holzman. It's an approach that has gone out of favor but was widely practiced and of great value in the era before diagnostic criteria reshaped psychiatric diagnosis.

Just seeing this now. Roy gave an all day workshop in Dallas, Texas many years ago. He helped me with a particular case that provided insight into much of my work and still does. Thanks Roy. Your efforts continue to be used in the service of healing.

We have memories still, stories of Stockbridge days and New Haven. I will always have a clear picture of my very first babysitting job with a toddler and a very new baby!

I am so saddened by your death and forever grateful to you for your deep insight and understanding of the help I needed to find the way to rewrite my narrative and your forbearance
in keeping the silences for me. I will continue to hold close to me the wonderful way you embraced the air around you.
