Roy Walley Obituary
Burial will follow at McDonald Cemetery, New Summerfield.
Mr. Walley passed away Friday, May 1, 2009. in Rusk.
He was born March 19, 1923, in Kerens to Amos Norton Walley and Jewel Rebecca Houghton Walley.
Mr. Walley served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a Baptist and a dairyman.
He was preceded in death by parents, A.N. Sr. and Jewel Walley; son, Joe Dave Walley; wives, Mary Lou Walley and Jean Liles Walley; brother, A.N. Walley Jr.; grandchildren, Lisa Sue Walley, Joshua Norton Walley and Cody Chane Walley.
Survivors include sons, Butch Walley and wife LaRae of Rusk, Mike Walley and wife Mary of Oakland, Jimmy Walley and wife Peggy, Robert Walley and wife Debbie, Mark Walley and Mickey Liles and wife Robin, all of Rusk; daughter, Becky Ballew and husband Elbert of Oakland; 27 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Forrest Dyess, Bill Hagan, Bruce Stewart, D.R. Stewart, Donnie Acker and Joe Taylor.
The family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2009, at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
