BRISTOL, Va. – Rubin Clark, age 63, passed away on Jan. 13, 2007, at Wellmont Hospice House.
He was born in Holmes Mill, Ky., a son to the late Rubin and Rosie Clark. Rubin worked as a coal miner and then joined Electrolux, retiring after 23 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran. After a lengthy battle with cancer, he went to be with his Lord and Savior.
Survivors include son, Robert Clark and wife Candace, and their daughter, DeAnna, all of Bluff City; former wife and caregiver, Mary Clark; brother-in-law, Dan Bickley of Bristol; special brother and friend, Robert Rice; and several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Also surviving is his faithful companion, "Bubba."
A memorial service will be held on Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, at 7:15 p.m., with Rev. Scott Price officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-7 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads Medical Missions, 300 West Valley Drive, Bristol, VA 24201. Online condolences may be registered at www.weaverfuneralhome.net.
