Ruby Jones Dunn

August 26, 1930 - November 22, 2016/Visitation for Mrs. Ruby Jones Dunn, 86 of Groveton will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26th, 2016 in the Oaklawn Baptist Church Sanctuary of Oaklawn Baptist Church in Groveton, Texas and funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Lester McAdams officiating. Interment will follow in Bennett Cemetery in Apple Springs, Texas. Mrs. Dunn was born August 26th, 1930 in Apple Springs, Texas and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2016 in Lufkin, Texas. Ruby was a very kind and compassionate lady. She loved her family and enjoyed being able to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always enjoyed traveling and in her down time she liked to do crossword puzzles. She also loved to fellowship with her church family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Myrtle Williams Collier; her husband Boots Jones and her brother Joe "Bubba" Collier. Ruby is survived by her husband George Dunn of Lufkin; her two children: son Sherman Jones and wife Theresa of Groveton, Texas and daughter Shelba Harrison of Lufkin, Texas; four sisters Vi Price of Pearland, Texas, Doris Vernon of Pearland, Texas, Betty Lewis of Cleburne, Texas, and Janice Fondren of Jasper, Texas; three grandchildren Amanda Jones Bird and husband John, Luke Harrison and Jacob Harrison; three great grandchildren Bonnie, Lily and Ben Bird; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
