Lynnette and I send our hugs of encouragement and prayerful support, as well as our celebration of such a wonderful life that blessed so many of us. Ruby always had such a beautiful way to engage you in conversation that led to you feeling better about your day. What a gift! Truly, she was the model of finding your purpose and serving that purpose in an unwavering manner. Her kindness, generosity, and warmth were the qualities that we will always remember. Now, her voice takes a special place in each of our hearts.

I had the privilege of visiting with Ruby with hospice and enjoyed our talks and times together. She loved to tell stories. I loved hearing them. God be with her family and friends.

The Lakeland Democratic Women who were members of the FDWO will always have a fond memory of Ruby being one the many reasons we enjoyed the conventions each year since the 60's, always the last to leave the dance floor! I was honored to know Ruby through politics. Her presence reached across Ohio. She will be sorely missed. Peace be with her family and her community.

I first met Ruby when I joined the Federated Democratic Women of Ohio in 1999. What an inspiration. She lived her Democratic principles, always ready to share ideas, encourage women to run for office, a kind word for everyone. She never met a "stranger". I will always remember her laughter, her joy. Infectious for sure. My deepest sympathy to her family and many friends. I will always remember our Ruby, rest in peace. Ruby exuded a pride in her country and found an impactful role in her service to it in many ways. She was extremely proud to have “put on that uniform” and serve in the WAVES fulfilling an obligation only she could feel after the loss of her first husband and brothers during WWII. That pride continued as she represented women veterans and advocated for all Veterans.
Ruby made an impact on all of her veteran sisters in service and in memories. She will be profoundly missed by the women of Northeast Ohio Women Veterans Unit 21 of Military Women Across the Nation formerly known as WAVES National

Ruby was a wonderful lady, lots of fun, great lady, great realtor, worked for Maple Realty, in Canton, and also in Carrollton, she was a great gal to work with.Deepest Sympathy. Connie and Tom Maple

Rachel, William, I have known your mom for a very long time, always looked for her at the fair's to talk to she was close with my parents and grandparents. May the Lord give you both peace and comfort at this time. I will miss her laughter..

I met Ruby at my first election conference in 1994. I was 25. She wasn't, but she had so much energy! She had us up all night the first night dancing, playing cards and laughing. The second night, I was dead on my feet. She said, "You're not going to let an old grandma put you to shame, are you?" I laughed so hard that night. She was such a spark! She could always light up a room with her positive energy.

Ruby was one-in-a-million, and one of the last of the greatest generation. She exhibited tenacity, class, humor, wit, patriotism, and she was a true inspiration for many to serve their community, state, and country. Ruby was a cherished mentor to my family, and someone we considered to be a dear and trusted friend. As the poet Walt Whitman wrote, "Good night, dear heart. Good night, good night."

Keep fighting for us!! Dems!! Rock on Ruby!!

Oh my goodness what a wonderful feisty woman!! My appointments at Hair Etc. were the same time Ruby’s were; my Dad would go with me just so him and Ruby could talk politics❤ DEMOCRAT BLOOD ran through their veins Those were some lively conversations!!!
Also, remember her at church @ The Church of God in Amsterdam. My parents and Ruby were in the same Sunday School class, such a lively bunch. Between my Dad and Ruby there were some lively discussions in that class♥ Precious Memories

Always the center of attention at the conventions, it was a thrill to go along. She was a tremendous leader as she encouraged me in my political career.

Ruby was a great friend, great Democrat and great American. Ivana and my sympathies go out to the family. We would talk once or twice a week, and we will miss those talks. We would always get each other to laugh about something. We were honored to have her as our Matron of Honor and friend.

When I think of Ruby I am reminded of the times when political organizations meant something in folk’s everyday iife.
As a fellow Chair from Harrison Ruby and my predecessors had a fantastic working relationship. My father Kinsey and grandfather Brady valued her friendship and loyalty.
