Ruby Hayden Obituary
Ruby Lee Adler Hayden went to her Heavenly reward on March 25, 2016 at the age of 94. She was born on April 7, 1921 to Richard and Martha Bothe Adler in Ganado, Texas. She married Fred C. Hayden in 1941. She loved her family, playing bridge, reading, gardening, her church family and her pets. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and 6 brothers and sisters (Malbert Adler, Gilbert Adler, Richard Adler, Viona Adler Finch, Forest Ludwig, and Aileen Ludwig Ward), son in law, Richard W. Krause, and grandson, Christopher Hayden. She is survived by her daughter Patricia "Patti" Krause, her son Fred Hayden Jr. (Jackie), her grandchildren Shauna Hayden (Jeremy Zbranek), Jackson Hayden and Christopher Aycock, Shauna's mother Judy Hayden and numerous relatives.
Visitation is Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and the Funeral Service will be held on April 7, 2016 at 12:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home at 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX. Interment will follow service at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Highland Park Lutheran Church at 705 Hammond, 78210.

I met Ruby Hayden at the ripe old age of 19 when I married Fred Jr. Fred and Ruby Hayden, Patty and Richard Krause and the whole family engulfed me with love and I realized how lucky I was to get to have this wonderful family. From that day forward until her death, Mom loved me like I was one of her own. She was a wonderful woman. She taught me almost everything I know about cooking and sewing. We spent hours in the kitchen and sewing room. I still can not sew without a pattern. She loved me unconditionally. She was a wonderful grandmother to Shauna and Jackson, always remembering every birthday, cooking our favorite foods when we came to visit. She always made the time with us special. She was like a mother to me and she will be in my heart forever. I love you MOM and will miss you very much.
