HOULTON and MAPLETON - Ruby I. Libby, 90, wife of the late Ivan L. Libby passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012, at a Houlton hospital. She was born Sept. 26, 1921, in Presque Isle, daughter of Fred and Beatrice (Wilcox) Tompkins. She attended and graduated from Mapleton schools and had worked as a bank teller for many years. She is survived by two sons, Ronald Libby of Falmouth and Danval Libby of Ashland; one brother, Arthur Tompkins of Woodbury, Tenn.; one sister, Margaret Damore of Presque Isle; three grandchildren, Danna Bouchard of New Sweden, Danelle Weston of Newburgh and Devon Libby of Greenwood, Colo.; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased one son, five brothers and two sisters. She will be missed for being the loving mother she was, for her great sense of humor, and for her love for her brothers and sisters. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral. Interment will be held later this spring in the family plot at Southside Cemetery, Mapleton.
