Ruby McIntyre Muncrief Obituary
Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 08, 2017 in Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Freddy Stice officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, February 07, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Ruby was born September 30,1934 in Woodville, OK to Theodore A. Martin and Bessie (Slape) Martin. She was the last survivor of their 10 children.
Ruby had a caring heart who was always taking care of others. She demonstrated this throughout her career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She attended the first nursing program at Childress General Hospital in 1965.
She loved her family and always enjoyed family gatherings. She was especially involved in her grandchildren's lives and attended all of their extracurricular activities. Ruby was an amazing seamstress and also enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ricky McIntyre and 9 siblings.
She is survived by:

Daughter - Debbie Chapman and husband, Stan of Childress, TX
Daughter - Donna Woodson and husband, Jerrell of Childress, TX

Daughter-in-law - Julia McIntyre of Lovelady, TX
Grand Child - Krislyn Harkins and husband, Ryan of Hereford, TX
Grand Child - Jake Chapman and wife, Kelsi of Childress, TX
Grand Child - Kade Chapman and wife, Crystal of Midland, TX
Grand Child - Carley Woodson of Childress, TX
Grand Child - D'Linda Dockery and husband, Gary Jackson of Childress, TX
Grand Child - Dana Moore and husband, Marcus of Lovelady, TX
Grand Child - Eric McIntyre and wife, Jennifer of Carrollton, GA

Prayers continue for all the family during this time. Ruby and I worked together years ago and we could always find something pleasant to talk and laugh about. She will be missed.

My deepest sympathy to the family. I loved working around Ruby. In the summer, we would sample her homemade salsa and deep fried eggplant or zucchini from her garden. I will keep you in my prayers.

Aunt Ruby you will be missed by the whole family. I loved you so much just as my daddy and my mom did and my sister Jodi. I remember how sweet and patient you were when we were little and how kind and wise you were after we became adults. You were a special woman. You broke the mold.
