Mrs. Ruby Lee Reeves

Mrs. Ruby Lee Reeves, age 95, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, February 26th, after a long illness at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. She was a Wheeler County native, having resided in Bulloch County for many years. She was a retired educator with the Bulloch County Board of Education. She was a graduate of Savannah State College (now Savannah State University), with a degree in education. She was a long-time member of the Little Bethel Baptist Church of Brooklet, Ga., where she served as the mother of the church. She was a member of the Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Association, where she was president emeritus of the Women's Auxiliary.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Mrs. Betty Richardson (Theodore) of Savannah, Ga.; her loving sons, Mr. Carl Reeves (Ronnie Mae) of Atlanta, Ga., and Mr. James Reeves of Brooklet, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held Friday, March 6th, from noon until 8 p.m. at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Statesboro Chapel.
The Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Ruby Reeves will be held Saturday, March 7th, at 11 a.m. at Little Bethel Baptist Church, Railroad Street, Brooklet, Ga., with the Rev. Julius Abraham, presiding, and Pastor John T. McPhatter as eulogist. Interment will be held in Sam's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Metter, Ga.
Mrs. Ruby Reeves will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.
