Ruby Mae Roberts

Funeral services for Ruby Mae Roberts, 74, of Huntington will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Pastor Roger Fancher officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonesville Cemetery. Mrs. Roberts was born August 31, 1942 in Huntington, Texas to the late Ada (Ashton) and Bronson Russell, and died Sunday, April 23, 2017 in a local hospital. Mrs. Roberts was a lifetime resident of Huntington. She retired from Medial Discount Center where she was a Pharmacy Tech. Mrs. Roberts was a member of Highway Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted friend, and most importantly was a Servant of God. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Kenny Allen of Huntington and Cliff and Mandi Roberts of Douglass; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Kody Moore of Lufkin; grandchildren, Summer Allen, Jeremy Allen, Bronson Allen, Trenton Carrigan, Olivia Roberts, Erin Roberts, Noah Roberts and Kirsten Linn; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Louise Thompson of Doucette, James and Georgia Russell of Huntington, and Irvin and Carol Ann Russell of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Charles Broussard of Trinity; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 48 years, Bob Roberts, sons, Carl Wayne Allen and Randy Allen; grandson, Chris Allen; and granddaughter, Jennifer Allen. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Russell, David Tinsley, Tim Haney, Frank Williams, Troy Stanbery, and Skyler Jerke. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
