Ruby Start Obituary
Ruby Start, 101, of Ostrander, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016, at Ostrander Care and Rehab.
Ruby Wilma Eastwold was born Nov. 17, 1914, in LeRoy, to Ruben and Matilda (Hat) Eastwold. She was a graduate of LeRoy High School. On Jan. 9, 1941, Ruby was united in marriage to Lloyd Start Sr. on the family farm in rural LeRoy.
Ruby was a secretary for Dr. M.P. Morse in LeRoy for many year and was a homemaker. Throughout the years, she opened her house to new school teachers when they came to LeRoy. Ruby was very active in the church and was a member of the History Club for many years.
Ruby is survived by her son, Lloyd (Chris) Start Jr. of Grand Meadow; six grandchildren, Stephanie Start, Jim (Tressa Ann Eggler) Start, Kari (Jake Hovland) Start, Darren "D.J." (Tammy) Start, Cory (Billie Tweten) Mulhern, and Mitch (Jenifer) Mulhern; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Matilda; husband, Lloyd Sr.; and one sister.
