Dear Ellen, Cindy, and Diane,
We are so sorry about Aunt Ruby's passing. And we are sorry that we couldn't make it down from Maine for the services. Kept you in our thoughts and prayers though.
Aunt Ruby always was so concerned about things in our life, and yet SHE was always "just fine!"
She always insisted on preparing coffee and cookies whenever we stopped by to visit her, and we enjoyed our times together. We will greatly miss her and always admire her for her strength and strong family ties and love for family members.
With our sincere sympathy and love, Carl and Karen

Ruby was one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She greeted me with smiles, a hug, and kiss every time I saw her. I was blessed to have known her and will dearly miss this wonderful lady.

To all of Ruby's family,
I got to know Ruby only a year ago when I moved into the apt. next to her at Cora B. We shared our love of birds and in our sharing times we found we had many more things in common. Ruby was easy to talk to and easier to love. She made me feel so welcome and had a heart for everyone. She always put others first before her own needs. i will miss her deeply, but I have been blessed to have gotten to know her. May God give her family comfort in the wonderful memories of life she shared with everyone.
Blessings †

To all of Ruby's Family,
My heart was saddened when I read of her passing. She and Ken were our first neighbors after we bought our house on Dewey Street. Your whole familiy was always so welcoming and kind. Ruby was a very special soul. I hold you all in my prayers as you go through this most difficult of times.

Words are so hard to find at a time like this. I remember growing up on Elm Street, and your mother was the first person to give me a babysitting job! She was always so kind and loving. I have thought of her many times over the years, and it always brings a smile to my face. May the good memories help you through this difficult time.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Ellen, Cindy, and Diane~ My deepest condolences on your mother's passing.... She was a very dear friend to my mom, Mildred Vallee, and was very kind to her when she stayed at Cora B a couple of times. I also have fond memories of your mom--at Dr. Lewis's office, and at church. She was one of the kindest people I've ever known. May the good memories of her lessen your sense of loss.....

To the family of Ruby. I remember the first time I met her was at Dr. Lewis office. The Good Lord decided that He needed another Angel. So he looked around and decided that it was time for Ruby to join him. May the memories that you all have of Ruby live on in each of you. My prayers go out to you all at this time and always. Rest in Peace Ruby.

Dear Ellen,
How can we express, yet again, how sorry we are to hear of the loss of your dear mother. It is with much sadness that we heard of her passing. Please know that she is at peace with Our Lord and is with all the dear ones that recently went before her. Paul and she have met and I am sure that they are exchanging stories about how wonderful you were to both of them. The sun has set on earth, but has risen in Heaven for Ruby, your dear mother.
With Our Deepest Sympathy
Love,
Eloise and Ed

I am so very sorry to hear of Rubys passing. She was such a dear Lady. She made going to see Dr. Lewis so much easier as a child for me. As I got older I used to love hear her talk about her daughters! Later yet meeting all of you and finding out just why she was so proud of you all. What a great family she had to be proud of. Ruby has touched so many lives in such a special way and will be remembered by so many.
