I appreciate the Christian heritage I receive from my parents and Aunt Alice who is a part of the Brown Family. She is an example of a kind, warm and fun Godly woman. We will all miss her loving smile and hugs so much.

Alice's connection with my family has been random and yet such a blessing. My mother and Alice first met at Shamrock Shores Church of Christ in Dallas in the late 1950s. My parents moved away in the early 1960s. Alice and my mother reconnected in 1997 at the West Erwin baby shower of my first grandchild. They spent the shower catching up with each other. A few years later, Alice became the step grandmother to that same grandson. She made it a point to come to my grandson's high school plays. I am so glad we saw Alice on Thanksgiving weekend at West Erwin. Alice and my mom had a great conversation. Alice looked so happy. I will miss these "haphazard" meetings with this very sweet, kind woman. She will be missed.

Ruby Alice (as I knew her) was my mother's first cousin. My mother was Helen Warner Cross. At one time Ruby Alice lived with my mother's family in Tyler. Those two girls had so much fun together back then, and they continued to cherish each other. My mother was an only child, so Ruby Alice was like a sister to her. I'll always remember her captivating smile and cheerful personality. I would be at the service, but we will be having visitation for my father-in-law on the same day. Heaven just gained two great people.

Ms Alice. Greg and I will miss your smiling face so much. We will miss the phone calls for birthdays, anniversaries and holidays. You never missed a single one. You were a very special person to us both. Our church pew won't be the same without all three of us nodding off, we will miss you so very much. Greg and Susan Anding
