A celebration of life service for Mrs. Ruby Dell Williams will be held on Saturday May 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Temple Terrace United Methodist Church, 5030 E. Busch Boulevard, Temple Terrace, Florida Rev. John Legg, Senior Pastor with Pastor Tom A. Jones of Heaven Destiny AOG Church, Officiating/Eulogist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.
Ruby Dell Williams was born in Omega, Georgia on Friday, September 28, 1928. She spent most of her childhood in Tifton and Savannah Georgia. She was educated at Maple Street Elementary, Clyer Beach High School and graduated from Tifton Industrial High School.
As a young girl she worked in the steel mills. She moved to Tampa, Florida with her firstborn daughter, Gloria. She enrolled in Buffalo Adult Technical School and earned a degree in Culinary Arts. Mrs. Ruby Dell Williams was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Louis Tuff. Mrs. Ruby was an only child but gave birth to 13 children (6 boys and 7 girls). She was declared as a “Matriarch of East Tampa”. She was loved and respected by all who came in contact with her. She was very influential in all aspects. She taught her children and grandchildren at an early age to respect and honor their elders. Her given spirit is embedded in all those that knew her. She was most proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren's accomplishments. She attended every baby shower, wedding, High School and College graduation. Her most memorable trip was when she took a trip back to her hometown of Tifton, Georgia, “just because.” Mom gained her “Gold Wings” on Friday May 6, 2022.
She was preceded before her in death by her parents, Joseph King and Della Mae Lamb-Thomas; husband, Louis Tuff; children, Gloria J. King, Larry Williams, Brenda J. Williams, Robert C. Williams; grandchildren, Jeremiah and Jermaine King, Byron Patty Jr, Eldrid Martin, Monica Jones; cousin, Beulah Battle; aunt, Sue Ella Lamb; grandmother, Nettie Lamb and grandfather, Remas Lamb Sr.

There will be a viewing on Friday May 20, 2022 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida. Due to the current CDC restrictions; we are asking that you use the visitation as an opportunity to pay your final respect. For your convenience and safety, we have extended our visitation hours.

Miss Ruby has been a Plant City and national art community treasure for many years. I will miss her sweet heart and her prayers. She looked to God every day and now she is with Him face-to-face. Thank you to everyone who loved and cared for her.
