PIQUA — Ruby J. Wilson, age 75, of Piqua, OH, went home to be with the Lord at 7:20 a.m. on Nov. 12, 2017, at Covington Care Center, Covington, OH. She was born April 14, 1942, in Somerset, Kentucky, to the late George and Clora (Keith) Hardwick. She was raised by her late stepmother, Rinda Hardwick. She married Carl Wilson on Dec. 4, 1958, in Sidney, OH. He survives.
Ruby is survived by three sons: Jerry Wilson, Darien Wilson, and Duane Wilson, all of Piqua, OH; one daughter: Felecia Wilson, Piqua, OH; one sister: Alda Marie McAllister, Smithville, Kentucky; three half-brothers: Eddie Hardwick, Charles Hardwick, and Rondald Hardwick, all of Quinton, Kentucky; one half-sister: Bernice Cowan, Frazier, Kentucky; nine grandchildren: Emily, Sarah, Amanda, Chelsea, Cameron, Brandon, Jesse, Skyler, and Sarah; seven great-grandchildren: Ryleigh, Kaylee, Ethan, Madison, Aliyah, Jeramiah, and Milo.
She was preceded in death by one brother: Gerald Hardwick; and one stepsister: Doris Ballou.
Ruby was a member of the Crossroads Church of God Mt. Assembly. She was a loving wife and mother who loved spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at the Crossroads Church of God Mt. Assembly 9330 Looney Road, Piqua, OH. 45356, with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Point Cemetery Sidney, OH. Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua, OH.
