RUDY ANTOSH
April 13, 1937 - January 11, 2015
Rudy was born April 13, 1937 in the Dovedale area to Jim and Mary Antosh and passed away suddenly at his home in Langenburg, SK on Sunday, January 11, 2015. Rudy grew up on the family farm, the third youngest of thirteen children. His father died when he was five so he quit school as a teenager to help out with the family farm. In 1959, he started working in Thompson, MB. He married Anne Buchberger on February 11, 1961 and together they raised six children. Anne passed away September 3, 2004 after battling cancer. Rudy and Anne were happily married for 43 years. Rudy started working at IMC with the construction of the mine and continued to work there for 36 years until he retired in 1997. Following his retirement, Rudy and Anne loved to travel and took quite a few bus trips. Rudy enjoyed hunting as was known as the Great White Hunter to many. He loved nature, gardening and his many trips to his cabin with his brother George and family and friends. Rudy and sister-in-law Linda Buchberger became very special friends after the deaths of their spouses. They enjoyed many trips to the cabin and travelling and visiting. Rudy is survived by his children and families: Rick and Donna Antosh of Langenburg, SK, Michael, Crystal and Nicole; Wes and Erin Antosh of Saskatoon, SK, Andrian, Zane, Azaria and Ivan; Don Antosh (Cheryl) of Regina, SK, Lindsay; Laureen Carson of Regina, SK, Alyssa and Jaxon; Carla Martynuik of Winnipeg, MB; Ryan and Julia Antosh of Hanna, AB, Kyla and Neely. Rudy is also survived by his brothers, George Antosh (Loretta) of Churchbridge, SK and John Antosh (Janet) of Pentiction, BC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mary Schaab (Langenburg), Cecelia and Don Hruska (Gerald), Julia and Bill McPherson (Edmonton), Helen Helmle (Toronto). Linda Buchberger (Langenburg). Gwen Buchberger (Langenburg), Georgia Howie (Melville) and families and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Rudy was predeceased by his wife, Anne; parents, Jim and Mary; grandchildren, Zevin Antosh and Lane Antosh; brothers, Joe Antosh, Jim Antosh, Henry Antosh, Frank Antosh, Charles Antosh; sisters, Rosie Nechvatal, Elsie Bot, Gloria Smith, Ann Pangracs, Emily Hamilton; mother and father-in-law, Mike and Farilda Buchberger, brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill Buchberger, Bob Buchberger, Fred Buchberger, Andrew Buchberger, Tony Schaab, Dave Helmle and numerous other relatives. Dad was a quiet, strong man. He taught us all the value of morals and hard work. We love you and we will miss you.

To the Antosh Families;
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your father Rudy. I think back to 1962 to 1997, working at the same place as Rudy. We shared many hunting stories. He was a very nice man.
