Rudy G. Hall

Rudy Hall was a true Patriot and a credit to the Department of State and to his home state of Kentucky. I only knew him for a few short years but in that time I found him to one of the best the US has to offer.

Like many others, I will miss Rudy and my sincere condolences to his entire family. I am glad to have worked with him and amazed at the many people that he helped during his career. His personal and professional touch will be hard to match.

I have known Rudy from DS/ASD since 1992 and found that he and I had a common bond from the beginning. He helped me and all his colleagues to keep a cool head in some very trying situations and times. I will miss him like a brother and know that the gates to heaven are now safe for us old vets to pass. Semper Fi

Rudy was a very nice person. Rudy would go out of his way to help people. I will pray for the family so that they may receive the strength during this difficult time.

Rudy was a great man and will be truly missed. He was a man who trusted his instincts and acted upon them. My condolences to the entire family. I will keep Rudy and the family in my prayers.

My sympathies to each of you in your loss of a dear man. I met him when he came to DS/ASD in 1988 and we had a good working relationship since both were hard chargers. Big heart, sound mind and straight shooter. He shall be missed by us all.

I first met Rudy during one of the many crisis our office encountered and he immediately brought a calm to the crisis, you knew that he was going to get it done! Rudy had a can-do attitude and with him nothing was impossible. His attitude is one that I have tried to emulate in my own career. I could always call Rudy and get a straight answer or the right advice, I will miss him.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to the entire family. Rudy will forever be remembered for the great gifts of life that he provided us.

Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. It was a pleasure to work with Rudy while he was assigned to the ATA office in Rosslyn. Our association continued since then and like you I will miss him.

Rudy was liked and respected by all his suboordinates and co-workers. He was a man of temperance, grace and tremendous professional ability. We all miss him greatly.

Rudy, will truly be missed. It took just a short time to realize Rudy is an honest and dedicated individual, and the world needs more like him.

As an old Vietnam-era colleague, Rudy and I shared a common experience in that country although I did not meet him until much later in DS. He had a plaque on his office wall that was similar to one I received from the Vietnamese Police. That started our very good professional relationship relationship.

I knew Rudy perhaps only 6 months. He touched my life and motivated me to not only do the right thing when others are watching, but rather, to do the right thing ALL the time. A true inspiration to me. I will always remember Rudy.
