Russell Betts Obituary
Russell was born June 23, 1980 in Newport, Arkansas the son of Edward Ray Betts and Herma Jean Alford Betts. He was preceded in death by his father.
He was a member of the Trinity Holiness Church.
He is survived by his mother, Herma Jean Betts of Kirby; two brothers, Terry Betts of Colorado and Jason Betts of Daisy; two sisters, Shannon McGee of Arkadelphia and Melissa Reid of Jonesboro; his maternal grandmother, Belva Lee Alford of Kirby; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 21, 2007 at the Trinity Holiness Church with Bro. Sammy Cottrell and Rev. J. B. Evans officiating.
Visitation will be Friday, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Interment will be in the Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
Pallbearers will be Tony Cottrell, Tracy Welch, DeWayne Cottrell, Rick McMahan, Devin Welch and Andrew Cottrell.

I remember riding the school bus with Russell and the others. I was quite a bit older. I lost track of him after I graduated.
Please know that no matter what happens in life, God is there for you. I pray His peace and comfort on you all during this sad time. We will never fully know why things happen to such young people, but God needed Russell there.
