Russell Howard Brooks

Russell Howard Brooks, age 53, of North Wales, PA, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023. Russ was born in Vernon, New Jersey to Howard Allan Brooks and Mary Ellen (Van Vooren) Kish. Russ spent his early childhood in Sparta, New Jersey before moving to Wildwood Crest, New Jersey in 1985, graduating from Wildwood High School in 1988. Russ lived and worked in Wildwood Crest for over a decade before moving to the suburbs of Philadelphia in 1999 to follow his passion for computer programming and engineering, working as a Senior Software Engineer and Programmer for twenty-five years. One of the highlights of his career was building the Philadelphia Eagles website and managing it for several NFL seasons.

Russ was an avid skier, mountain biker, supersport bike racer, gamer and self-taught computer software engineer. He was a passionate musician, playing bass guitar and keyboards and he played in several rock bands that toured the tri-state area in his youth. He was a life-long learner who loved to study and master computer languages, music pieces, and online games. Russ had an incredibly keen eye for detail and was adamant in his pursuit for perfection in all that he set out to learn and do. He enjoyed a large and diverse group of friends and he will be dearly missed.

Russ is predeceased by his parents and his sister, Jacqueline Marie Kish. He is survived by his sisters, Kristine Korngut (Richard), Rachel Robert (Travis) and his niece, Amanda Rutherford Sinks (Wesley).

Russ is laid to rest with his mother and sister Jacqueline in Seaside Cemetery in Marmora, New Jersey. Memorial donations may be made to Huntington's Disease and Clinical Research Fund, where charitable gifts allow the research team at John Hopkins Medicine to advance discoveries in Huntington's Disease and provide the highest level of patient care.
