My Dear Friend and best accountant in the world! What a Blessing was to have known you the last 10 years. My accountant Russel was such a great and caring person. I remember asking him, are you going to retire? He gave me a big smile and said, do not worry Carmen, I will do your tax until the day I die thank you beautiful soul, I will forever remember your smile, friendship and tax consultations. RIP my friend.

Russel was truly an amazing human being. He brought friendship and brightness to every day. We will miss our dear friend. Our deepest sympathy to Joanie and family!

Russell's ethos has been a light for me for decades....his spirit, wit, love for Joanie, pups, critical conversations and generative dialogue "lift" me up in how I feel, even today. I loved him like an unofficial Uncle delivered to me from God himself (with Catholic trivia "on hand" always) and a sports & political view too. I will miss his calls at 6: 30 in the morning from his office....always beating most folks to "start the day"---love you Russ! Dr. Dennis Rebelo (with you in thoughts always)

Dear Uncle Russell,
I havent known you my whole life. You married Auntie when I was a young kid. We welcomed you into our family, no questions asked. I am so thankful for that. You were an amazing person. You loved us all. Whether it was talking about sports or us sitting in the corner making fun of everyone it was always great to be around you. The love that you shared with Auntie was unlike any other and a love that people would be envious of. You really did live for each other. I love you very much and will miss you greatly. I promise our family will take care of Auntie for you. Until we meet again Uncle Russell.

To the Ferrara family I am was saddened to learn of my friend Russ's passing. I am also upset with myself as I just left the Hill Funeral Home to find out I am a day late. Russ was such an influence for me and I will never forget the great times we had going to Yankee Stadium and the 76 Super Bowl.
I sincerely regret not seeing more of him as the years went on.
Lisa, Cheryl and Russ your dad as you all know was truly one of a kind. Pin stripes forever buddy, you will be missed but never forgotten.

Joan, we are so sorry for your loss. You were the love of his life and that was reflected anytime the two of you were together. Our family was lucky to know him for 23 yrs, my 2 girls loved their "Uncle Russ" and he always treated them like his own. Myself and Gary will never forget his infectious laugh and stories as reflected this Thanksgiving. He was looking forward to Xmas here as we also were. We will miss him dearly.

Uncle Russell, you came into our families lives 23 years ago and took to us as if you had already been with us long before. You always had a smile on your face and a funny joke to tell. You were perfect for Auntie Joanie. You will be greatly missed.

Our hearts are broken. All of our memories of Russ are of the light in his eyes when he saw Mya-from the time she was a baby. Our first memory of Russ was when he rushed over to our house when the ambulance was here for Mya. Our last memory of Russ will always be of the joy he brought to Mya when he recently brought over a new doll for her. He was smiling from ear to ear and so anxious for her to open the box.
