Russell Alan Hamilton

Dick and I wish we could attend Russ' celebration of life. Russ was such a great husband and father. He and Allison have raised a wonderful family that reflects their principles and goodness. Russ, you have set the standards high! Much love to Allison and family

Russ was a kind and generous person. He always stayed positive and I loved his joking manner. He was always willing to lend a hand and one of his best qualities was seeing the best in others. He will be so missed. I am thankful to have known him.

My heart is heavy to have heard about Nick's father. Nick is a funny, wonderful, kind person and although I did not know his father, there is no doubt in my mind he too was a wonderful man. Love, prayers and comfort to Nick and his entire family.

I didn't know Russell very well, but every interaction we had was positive. He was a great asset to Surry Power Station; personable, helpful, and someone to look up to. His passion for his work and home life was obvious. Men like him are few and far between. My deepest condolences to his family.

Allison, I am praying for peace and comfort to you and your family. Russ was a great friend and colleague. We spent so many years working together side by side at different levels of leadership at Surry Power Station. He was always professional, always fair, always listened, and always a great leader. He was one of the best people to work with in my 39 years there. I will be forever thankful for the relationship we had. He will be sadly missed but not forgotten. RIP Russ my friend.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. His impact on others will be forever with us. I had the privilege to work with him for many years and I can say that he was always a positive influence for me.

What a huge loss. Russ will always be remembered by his coworkers as a strong leader whom we all respected. Let light perpetual shine upon him.

Allison & family- so sorry to hear about the passing of Russ. I first met Russ in 1990 when he was my RP instructor at NNS. He taught me so much & it was a great class. He left midway thru class because he got a job at Surry Power Station as an operator. I got a chance to go to SPS a year later & Russ helped me get there. We were on the same shift & carpooled for about 9 yrs. He helped me tremendously in getting qualified- he loved to teach. I´ll forever be grateful how he helped me in my career.

Russ did so many things well. He was personable, intelligent, hard-working, and caring. He just ran things the right way. It was a privilege to work with him at the station, and his volunteering for Little League Football. Everyone enjoyed Russ, and we were lucky to have such a nice guy around.

Russ was a great friend. He will be sorely missed.

So many memories of Russ, Allison and the family. In my eyes it was like the Brady Bunch family, a true family. Love you all!!!!!!!

Condolences to the Hamilton family. Hard to fathom the loss of a great man. Always enjoyed working with Russ, just a positive leader and was willing to help anyone. Loved his family, served his nation in the US Navy and leaves a legacy of good friends and memories. I´d say that´s one successful life.

He was a great boss. He helped me immensely in learning the plant and the people. His confidence and strong work ethic gave his peers and subordinates the confidence to tackle any challenge. You were glad he was on your team. My heart goes out to the Hamilton family for their loss.

My life is better (professionally and personally) for having Russ in it. Of the dozens of bosses I´ve had in my 49 years of various lines of employment, Russ was my best boss. I´m glad I got to tell him that before I left Dominion.
Thanks to the Hamilton family for sharing him with us. It´s an honor we will all cherish.

I mourn the all to early passing of a dear friend who set the standard of excellence in all aspects of his professional life. As a frequent recipient of his appropriately administered "intimidation", I can say his pursuit of excellence never crossed the line of being personal. This attribute can not be praised enough. I smile when I recall the memories we shared. May his family find comfort knowing how much drive Russ possessed in mentoring so many to consistent excellence.

Thankful for the years for working and knowing Russ. He was a man of kindness and understanding. Although he is not here in this earthly world his goodness and kindness will always be present and live on in memories.
