I am heartbroken to hear of Russell’s passing. I have known Russell since elementary school and I have such funny, fond memories of him. He and Tommy Thompson were like brothers to me. It’s almost impossible for me to talk about my childhood without Russell’s name coming into the conversation. I am certain he is in heaven spreading love and laughter as only he could do. My love and sympathy goes out to all of his family and loved ones.

I did not personally know Russell, but I loved his dad, Kay Harmon who was a classmate at House schools and a lifelong friend. My deepest condolences to Russell's family and to Robert and Sue.

Im not so sure the first condolence I wrote went through. Russell a handful but a darn good friend. Even though his goal was to pick on you and he wouldn't rest till he got the last word in there was no one else that could always make you laugh no matter the situation. Yes he did leave us to early but he must have had plans for something better in those clouds. I'll miss you and cherish that picture I have of you working at the laundry mat always.

He was a friend from the first time we met over 43 years ago, though we lost connection over the years, I have fond memories of him in school, football and get togethers.

I am forever thankfull you just showed up outta the blue to my house like usual I am thankfull for the great conversation we shared that day if i would have known it was the last time i would ever see you I would have never stopped talking.
