Russell Lindquist Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 2, 2024.
Russell passed away unexpectedly at his home in Jensen Beach, Florida. He grew up in Minnesota & lived the life of a typical Minnesotan - spending time at the family cabin & participating in many outdoor recreational sports. From a young age, he excelled at soccer, snowboarding, boating, water sports & all kinds of fishing, as well as snowmobiling & golf. Russell also enjoyed spending time with his family & many friends who loved him for his positive attitude, generosity, & kind heart. Russell graduated from Wayzata High School in 1989 & attended the University of Minnesota where he studied Business & was a Pi Kappa Alpha. He graduated with honors in 1994 from the University of St. Thomas with a BA in Business Administration. In his professional career, Russell excelled in his job at Salesforce as a successful Strategic Account Executive, Healthcare Marketing. Russell lived life to the fullest & enjoyed his time in Minnesota - from Cross Lake to Lake Minnetonka & in Minnetrista where he had resided with his wife, beagles, & cat for many years. They purchased a home in Florida & became snowbirds for a few years before becoming full time Florida residents in 2022. Russell was passionate about the Florida lifestyle & it was there where he finally got his 1st hole-in-one on the golf course at the Ocean Club. Russell was preceded in death by his father James Lindquist (1986). Survived by his wife of 24 years, Maureen (Lalevée), Teddy the beagle, mother Leanna (Keith) Erickson, brother Eric (Kristin) Lindquist, and nephews Martin and Sam. Service and visitation will both be held on Friday June 7, 2024 from 11:00 am-1:00pm at St Martin's By the Lake Church, 2801 Westwood Rd, Minnetonka Beach, MN 55361. Memorial gifts can be sent to The Animal Humane Society of Golden Valley & or Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.

My favorite memories of Russ was living with him and Nicole Mathey in Uptown. Russ was the "Jack" to our "Janet" and "Chrissie" making the most fun ever living as "Threes Company"

I have not ONE memory that doesn´t involve giggling, laughter and love. He was an amazing guy.

Hugs to you Maureen.

We are so very sorry for your loss. I love your photo of Russ. I will always think of him as a free spirit, zipping along on his water scooter, with a child-like joy. May he RIP and may happy memories of his love fill your heart and soul.

Dear Maureen and Family Lindquist, please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. I had the privilege of working with Russell at Salesforce and I simply adored him.

Every time I met with Russell, I walked away having learned something new. He possessed a wealth of knowledge and was always so patient with my endless questions about the selling process! And, he always had a way of making me laugh...

I cherished my time with Russell and will always hold that time close to my heart. Rest in peace, dear colleague.

My sincere sympathy Maureen and family. I feel a great loss. He was a special friend to my son, Lumpy. I remember our last conversation several years ago. We laughed a lot. May he rest in peace. Kate Leuthner Theisen

One of my favorite memories of our childhood is the Christmas Eve in Wayzata/Plymouth that got so cold none of the cars would start so we all had to spend the night. We had such a great time!
I will miss you my dear cousin
