Wow I don't know why or what caused me to do a search on Mr. Mays June 18th but I remember his father Forest Mays, my father Claude worked at Empire broom and mop company as a broom stitcher back in 1964 when the company was on Lavender street and continued to work there until his death in 1981 in fact he was on his way to work when he passed away. I thought of Forest as a grandfather. That's how long ago I knew Mr. Mays and Virginia, Randi and Susan. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was a great caring person. Houston Texas

Randi and Susan,
It has been almost 40 years since Russell and Virginia opened their home to Deborah and me. They were both amazing examples of 1st COR 13: faith, hope, and love. Rob and I express our prayers to your entire family.
Peace in Christ, Tricia

Russell Mays was a class act, as you probably know. He was always a gentleman, and truly lived his faith. He was certainly a wonderful model for all of us. I know that he sure influenced our family in a very positive way. He will be missed. His good works here were certainly not wasted... his family, to a person, are good people, too.

Randi, we have shared many cherished moments. I will personally miss sitting down at the table and talking with Russell about politics, family, and Texas A&M University sports. Love you very much.
