RUSSELL MAZE Obituary
Age 63, of Monroeville, on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Beloved husband of 40 years to Eileen (Rzoski) Maze; loving father of Jason R. Maze and Kelly R. Maze (James) Eathorne; son of the late Russell and Frances Maze. He was a U.S. Marine Vietnam War veteran, and worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years. Russ was Past President of the Monroeville Soccer Association and coach of Monroeville Soccer for over 20 years. He co-founded the Annual East Suburban Father & Son golf challenge. Friends received at the the GENE H. CORL INC. FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATION CENTER OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (1 block East of Mosside Blvd.-Rte. 48). Visitation Saturday 6-9 p.m. and Sunday 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadette Church on Monday 10:30 a.m. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will be private. This news really makes me sad. Russ and I were Marine Corps friends on Okinawa. We worked in the same outdoor warehouse.
He drove our giant Forklift.
I have some pictures from Okinawa. I can send them and Email.

I......Just heard the news from my sister Fran at Pat Catans. I didn't know how else to get in touch with you, so I hope you come back and read these entries periodically! I am sending my deepest sympathy to you and your family for your loss. You are way too young to be alone. No matter what series of events contribute to this fate..being alone.. is always hard!!! Eileen, Kelly and Jason, My deepest sympathies to you. When I saw Russ's obituary I immediately thought of all the times we got together for the Gateway Football memorability he was always so willing to provide. Thoughts and prayers to all of you at this difficult time.

We were very saddened to hear about Russ passing.He was someone who really lived every day to the fullest. Whenever we hear "oldies" played on the radio we will remember Russ.

As we travel this journey known as life, certain people cross our paths. Some of which just pass through and some of which you cling onto, for some unknown reason. Russ was one of those I clinged onto and the reason became clear.
His character, his heart, his family, and his understanding were unmatched. I thank God he entered my life for he gave me a part of my journey that I will never forget.
Eileen,Jason,Kelly,Jamie,Sadie,his extended family, and all those who were fornuate enough to have this man in their lives,will have many fond memories of this wonderful, funny, dedicated, and strong man, I know I will never forget Russ.
Thanks Buddy for all of it for you have given me more than I could have ever imagined.
