Russell Newton

Russell R. Newton, 56, of Newington, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in New Britain, son of Madeleine (Vallieres) Newton of Newington and the late Raymond R. Newton. Russell worked at the Oakdale in Wallingford, the Meadows in Hartford and later at an area pizza restaurant. Besides his mother Madeleine, he leaves his daughter, Ashley Newton of Newington; a sister, Peggy Rossignol and her husband Glenn of Newington; a brother-in-law, Matthew Willson of Vernon; an uncle, Larry Vallieres of Old Saybrook; an aunt, Barbara Newton of Plainville; a niece, several nephews and close friends. Besides his father, Russell was predeceased by a sister, Lucinda Willson. Calling hours for friends and family will be Thursday (October 6) 6 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. The funeral and burial will be private.
