Dearest Avis
Our hearts reach out to you.
We were not friends very long, only long enough to know such dear friends that we love.
May the good Lord protect you and keep you in his foal.

Dear Avis,I talked with Mama tonight and she told me Russell had passed away.We are so sorry to hear that. As patients went, he was a favorite of mine. I took care of him once when he was a hospital patient and he always told us jokes to keep the staff going!!! Sincerely, Louise Campell and Ronald Thornton.

Hello Avis,
My sympathies to you and your family during this time of loss. Though you don't know me, I always thought a lot of Russell and appreciated his kindness and sense of humor when he was married to my step-sister Kay. As a youngster, I always looked forward to visiting, especially in the fall when I enjoyed beautiful apples from his orchard. My first job (almost 50 years ago) was working for his parents, caring for their strawberry plants and picking berries for the farmstand. My thoughts will be with you in the coming days.
Sincerely, Jack Stewart
