Mary, I was saddened to hear about Russ's passing, having seen him quite recently. I remember him joining the CMMC medical community 40 years ago and we soon after became good friends.
I made it a habit to stop by Russ's office daily just to chat and catch up on politics, the economy and whatever else. Occasionally, we might even look at x-rays.
I always appreciated his many achievements both inside and outside the hospital. Russ was quite a guy and I will miss him.

Russ was a kind, thoughtful and very gracious man who left an indelible impression upon all who were fortunate to have known him. My heart goes out to Mary, Michelle and the family. May you be comforted by your extraordinary fortune to have loved this remarkable man.

Decades ago I was a candy striper at CMMC, and often brought XRays up from the emergency room to be evaluated on Sundays. Dr. Radcliffe was unfailingly pleasant and would take the time to point out fractures or other irregularities to me. My condolences for your loss.

Russ was a man of many talents and he excelled at all of them. He was a devoted doctor, father, husband, grand father, musician, skier and an amateur genealogist. Russ was always fun to be around as he knew how to keep the conversation going and had a great sense of humor. Deepest sympathy to his dear wife, children and grandchildren. I am sure that you all have wonderful memories that will always keep Russ close to your heart. May Russ rest in peace.

To Mary and all of Russ's family/friends- we have had the honor of knowing Russ for almost 60 years as friends from his undergraduate experience at Johns Hopkins University. As others have expressed, he was always a class act with all the ability and leadership talent you might hope for yet a kind and humble personality- as he expressed to us within the past month, he always tried to be fair with everyone. Our prayers are with Mary and his family.

Along with many, many members of the community, both medical and non, I extend my condolences to Mary and all Russ' family and friends. Russ was one of the first to welcome me to Lewiston/Auburn so many years ago, and I continued over the years to be impressed with his dedication to his profession, his patients and his colleagues. The world is a smaller place without him!

I will remember Dr. Radcliffe for many things. I remember when he taught me how to play the Rolling Stones 'Paint it Black' on my guitar when I was ten years old. I remember spending Christmas Eve's with Russ along with Mary, Michelle, Mark, Brent and Nate and more recently, in Oxford. Russ had a deep appreciation for the finer things in life, cared for his family and spent a great deal of time learning and researching his genealogy. He even orchestrated a major family reunion for the Scianamme family which resulted in a turnout of over a hundred people in the 2012 family reunion at Poland Spring Resort. I was fortunate enough to spend Thanksgiving with Russ and Mary in 2015 and 2016 in Florida. I remember Russ expressing how proud he was of his sons, their wives and his grandchildren. You will be forever missed.

My condolences to Mary and the rest of Russ's family. I fondly remember numerous bike rides, canoe trips, and musical experiences with Russ. He was very talented and determined, as shown by his surviving 10 years longer than anyone expected with very aggressive cancer. I will miss him.
