Russell Tanis Obituary

Tanis, Russell J. Grand Rapids, MI Russell Tanis, age 91, of Grand Rapids, was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Russell served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and traveling in his early years. He loved cooking dinners, but especially loved the time spent with his family. He was preceded in death by his two brothers and two sisters. Russell will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 73 years, Marilyn; children, Randy (Norma) Tanis, Laurie Tanis, Shawn (Tom Huizinga) Moore, Craig Tanis; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sister, Reona (Don) Wilcox; and many nieces and nephews. There are no memorial services planned at this time.

Praying for strength for Marilyn and the entire Tanis family during this time. I have fond memories of youth spending a lot of time at the Tanis home it was my second home back then. Hugs to Craig and Shawn.
