Ruth played a critical role in inspiring Dr. Marshall Rosenberg´s evolution of NVC... nonviolent communication. Her songs were frequently performed by him.. in connection with presenting his workshops. I fondly remember talking to her on the phone and her sending me at no charge copies of her music and her album of her songs.

Fell in love with her music, and have purchased all her albums, and both books, only lacking her poetry published in Cricket magazine. Her songs are about half of my favorites collection. I emailed with her briefly shortly after buying all her albums.

While travelling through Oklahoma during a recent trip to the USA (April 2022) I found two of Ruth's albums in a Goodwill store.
While listening to them today (and enjoying them very much) I decided to search for her on Google and found out she passed very recently.

I didn't know her personally of course but it's nice to think that the works she created live on on people's turntables. (In my case a turntable halfway across the world)

Ruth was a good friend of my friends, the Garino’s. They often shared poems Ruth had written. Ruth seemed to have a good spiritual sense of being where people were and being positive about life. She meant so much to the Garino’s.

Ruth was my good friend, as well as a good friend to my parents “Dodo” and “Eddie” Heflin at the Colonial Hotel. Ruth, as Choirmaster and organist, introduced many of us to Messiah and other music that we have continued to enjoy as part of our lives. I visited her each time I returned to Warrenton and will continue to think of her warmly as I sleep beneath the beautiful quilt she gave to me that was made by her mother Vernie about 1970.
