In memory of

This is the first year since 1997 that I won't be receiving a Christmas card from my dear friend Ruth. I was her student tenant while I attended Pharmacy school at CU Denver. The first night I stayed at her beautiful home, I'll never forget, she created this beautiful steak dinner (I didn't yet know she was a dietician and to boot a bit like "Julia" in the kitchen) and treated me so wonderfully all the time I stayed there. I loved to hear her stories of Mr. Bowling, their adventures and staunch political views which always kept me captivated. She loved her beautiful family as they were always an enormous source of pride for her. I remember them all being gathered with their happiness and brightness and adoration for their Mother and Grandmother. What a lovely sight! I just feel lucky that a got to meet and know such an amazing lady. She truly made the world a nicer place to live in and I will never forget her profound kindness.

Ruth gave meaning to what it is to be both a consummate professional and a true lady, in every sense of the word.
I had the pleasure of working on numerous national committees during our respective careers at Dairy Council.
Her perspective on issues and people were always on target
Ruth will live on in the wonderful memories of those who worked, played and laughed together.
My condolences to Ruth's family and numerous friends.

Warmth, spunk, and charm. That's what I remember about Ruth. Related to her through marriage, I only got to meet with her at an occasional family gathering, but those of us whose life she touched are among the lucky.

Ruth was an amazing woman and boss. You could go and ask her anything or suggest another way of doing it and she would say go for it. She was the best boss I ever had, an amazing mentor and the quintessential dietitian. She will be missed but never forgotten. Love you Ruth

I was one of the blessed ones to have been mentored by Ruth and count her as a dear friend. We played many a bridge game, had many a wonderful lunch, and enjoyed her amazing hospitality over the years. She will be so greatly missed but please know that her spirit will live on in her numerous mentees' hearts and lives.

Ruth was a wonderful role model for all of us "young" RDs at Dairy Council. She epitomized the values of integrity, excellence and professionalism. I will miss Ruth but know that she is in heaven watching over all of us. God bless Ruth and her family and friends.
