BROCKETT, RUTH CREECH - age 91 of Knoxville, passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 at Hillcrest North Nursing Home. Mrs. Brockett was born in Harlan, Kentucky to Aaron and Mintie Unthank Creech on December 22, 1920. She married Albert D. Brockett, Jr. in Savannah, Georgia and later moved to Knoxville. Mrs. Brockett retired from GAB Business Services. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert D. Brockett, Jr.; parents, Aaron and Mintie Unthank Creech; sister, Ruby Cowden and brother, Ray Creech. Mrs. Brockett is survived by her daughter, Jane Hinsley and husband, George; granddaughter, Susan Hinsley Prichard and husband, Philip; granddaughter, Julie Hinsley Clairin and husband, Adrian and, beloved great grandson, Julian Clairin. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. A private memorial ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Love Kitchen, P.O. Box 6839, Knoxville, TN 37914. Condolences may be offered at www.berryfuneralhome.com
