To Mr. Oscar Fitzhenry and Family,
Life is a journey that we all must travel. While traveling on this journey everyone will come to a place called the sea of death. Weather at war on the battlefield or at home in a familiar surroundings. You can choose to live by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Mrs. Fitzhenry (MOM) did. She was one of the sweetest person I have ever met. I will never forget her smile.

With Deepest Sympathy,

Barbara Purdy Gipson

May this candle burn as brightly as did your spirt!

Each day that you shared with me was a gift from above!

Although our friendship was cut short, I will see you again (Just know I won't forget).

It was my honor and blessing to care for you!

On behalf of the men and their families of the 31st Bomb Squadron from World War II, I send our deepest sympathy to Oscar and his family. We met Ruth at numerous reunions - what a lovely, gracious lady she was! She will be missed. May God grant her eternal rest.

God looked around His garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful; He always takes the best. He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb, so He closed your weary eyelids and whispered,"Peace be thine." It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home.

February 15, 1965, I sat in the dining room in Parkwood Estates with Ruth and 2 Bibles--one for her marked by the pastor of the church so that she could relate the Gospel simply to me. She had only come to faith five months prior, and she explained God's extraordinary good news to me while I followed along in the other Bible. That day I was given the greatest gift man can ever hope for--salvation through the finished work of Jesus Christ, God's only Son. Ruth was the humble and faithful servant who delivered that saving message. She would give me stacks of Bible verses to memorize every day that I came to the house while she would wash the dishes or mop the floor or cook the family dinner. I grew in faith and understanding with her. I owe so much to her and feel a great void at her passing. May God grant that other women may rise up to be stalwarts in His glorious kingdom. May you be comforted to know that she has entered into her rest with Christ.

The Penny
Remember this every time you pass that little penny in the parking lot.
I always thought that it was for Good Luck, but I love this version better:

I found a penny today
Just laying on the ground.
But it's not just a penny,
this little coin I've found.

Found pennies come from heaven,
That's what my Grandpa told me.
He said Angels toss them down.
Oh, how I loved that story.

He said when an Angel misses you,
They toss a penny down.
Sometimes just to cheer you up,
To make a smile out of your frown.

So, don't pass by that penny,
When you're feeling blue.
It may be a penny from heaven,
that an Angel's tossed to you.

An Angel is now watching over you.!
