Ruth (Allison) Green

Ruth A. (Allison) Green age 96 of Avon, New York passed away on Thursday June 4, 2015 she was the wife of the late James H. Green. Born in Solvay, New York on June 18, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Roy S. and Agnes H. (Pratt) Allison. Ruth was raised and educated in New York graduating from Avon High school. She later attended Rochester Business Institute earning an associate's degree. She married Jim Green in 1946 in Tonawanda NY. Together they raised their loving children. Along the way she had many homes in New York, Texas, Maryland, as well as Massachusetts, and they travelled extensively. Ruth worked for some years as an administrative assistant for the Lincoln Sudbury Regional High audio visual department and was also a long time and faithful member of the Sudbury United Methodist Church. During her spare time and retirement she enjoyed working with the Hosmer house and the Sudbury Library. She is survived by her two children Mark A Green of Avon, NY and her daughter Martha Camp of Chaucha, Azuay, Ecuador and her three grandchildren Rebecca Gross, Ashley Hayes, and Jared Fruth and great-grandchildren Arie Gross and Annie Hayes. Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Ruth on Thursday, June 11 at 2:30 pm in the Sudbury Methodist Church, 251 Old Sudbury Rd, Sudbury. Interment in Newtown Cemetery, Sudbury.
