Ruth Withrow Holstein 80, of Cross Lanes, WV was born on June 23, 1930 and went home to be with the Lord January 28, 2011. Ruth lived for three things: her Savior, her family, and her bowling. She was a longtime active member of Dunbar Mountain Mission and was a loving woman who would do anything for her family. She bowled and was secretary on multiple bowling leagues for almost 50 years. She was predeceased by husband, Leroy Jack Holstein, daughter Teresa Racer, parents Rev. Vernon and Alma Withrow, sisters Mary Lanham, Betty Sayre, and Helen Rogers, and brother James Samuel Withrow. She is survived by son and wife, Gary and Zandy Holstein of Bancroft, daughter Vernetta Ingram of Cross Lanes, son-in-law Bill Racer of Nitro, sisters Lura Belle Casto and Lois Baker, both of Leon, brothers Vernon Withrow and Robert Withrow, both of Cross Lanes. She is survived by grandchildren Dawn Parsons, Billy Racer, Eric Racer, April Drake and husband Ty, Danielle Ingram and fiance Wesley Westfall, Courtney Ingram, and Markus Holstein, and great-grandchildren Aubrey Parsons, Daisha and Donovan Austin Drake. She is also survived by several loved nieces and nephews, including a special great-nephew Gage Withrow. Services will be held Sunday, January 30, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Dunbar Mountain Mission with Rev. Jim Phillips and Rev. Tim Summers. Friends may call Saturday, January 29 from 6 to 8 pm at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home.
