Ruth was a very beloved english teacher in and great influence in my high school years and beyond. She was the first person in my life to encourage independent thinking and suggested questioning the world around me. She helped me develope persaverance which carried me though many life situations. I will always think of her fondly and be deeply grateful I knew her.

Ruth was my teacher, friend and mentor. She helped shape my life's path during my junior and senior years of high school. Both she and her husband Joe were always there for me. I last saw them both at the class of 1970 FLHS reunion in 2010. This was a truly great woman who touched so many and she will be in my heart forever.

I still talk about Mrs. Kysel to this day. I'm glad to hear she made impressions upon others as well. She was a zesty, spicy, shoot from the hip, lady! She was great! And she gave me a college recommendation! :) I think she was my English teacher sophomore year (1975)

Ms. Kysel was my favorite teacher (12th Grade Humanities 1985), even though I know in HS I didn't appreciate her as fully as I should have. She believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. A great teacher and extraordinary person. RIP...I should think the conversation between her and whatever God she believed in would be remarkable.

Mrs. Kysel was an amazing English teacher. She never failed to care about and show interest in her students and I am fortunate to have had her as a teacher while at Fort Lee High School. Many of my fondest memories are of her and the way she made learning English a complete joy. Rest in peace and thank you for all that you taught me.

Mrs. Kysel was my senior year English teacher at Fort Lee High School. She also took the Honor Society members to Chetek Wisconsin as a part of exchange program and "the kids from NJ" was on the front page of the local news paper. She was kind, provocative, patient, and the best teacher ever. Thank you Mrs. Kysel.

Ruth was probably my greatest mentor and advocate, as was her way. Ruth exemplified approaching everything with a zest only she could achieve. Ruth never walked if she could, instead, run. As a mentor Ruth was never intimidated by her peers or those she so kindly mentored. Her affect on me had no dollar value. Ruth was the best! She was a million dollar lady. I am grateful for the time she so generously gave to me. Rest in Peace my friend. Your work on earth is done.
