To the DiPofi and Lau Families,
Ruthie was a beautiful person ... inside and out ... and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. I know you all feel her loss most deeply.
I knew Ruthie first as a classmate (KOHS Class of '67); Ruthie befriended me when I moved to Dormont in our Junior year. We had fun after school and at the pool in the summer, and she and I double dated with our then boyfriends for Senior Prom. Later Ruthie worked with us on the Class Reunion Committee and we would talk and laugh for hours.
I regret that I live so far away and am not able to pay my respects in person.
So sorry for the loss of Ruthie; we will all miss her!

Rest in peace, Ruthie. I cried myself to sleep last night after hearing of your passing. We have been friends for a long, long time. I have moved away from pgh in 1982 and did not get to see you much, but we did have a wonderful time together when I came to pgh. I am sorry I cannot make it to the showing or burial. I am not used to driving in snow since I live in North Carolina now. It takes me about 7 hours to get there and it was such short notice. I am sorry you had to live with the pain that you had, but now you are free. Will never forget your smile. Love Ya!

To all of Aunt Ruthie's family. May we all come together and find it in our hearts to know she truly is at peace. I am still in complete awe that she will no longer be with us. I feel like I should be able to help plan Easter at her house or share those Aunt Ruthie pies at Thanksgiving. I am happy to know the suffering for her has ended and that from this day forward she will be with us always.

Cousin Ruthie always had a kind word. I always looked forward to seeing her. My mother, Peggy, adored her as did I. I'm so grateful that I was able to be a part of her family and will have wonderful memories. I'm so sorry that we all have to be without her smile, but I know that she will be shining down on her family .

I have lost a wonderful friend today. I wish her peace and serenity. My summer evenings will never be same without Ruthie and our wine coolers. She loved family and friends most of all. We are all going to miss her terribly.
