Ruth E. Lawrence

PRINCETON — Ruth E. Lawrence, 87, of 221 Tenth Street, Princeton, died Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Ridge Care Assisted Living in Princeton. Born April 21, 1920 at Pence Springs, she was the daughter of the late Lester Fox and Etta Shepherd Fox. Mrs. Lawrence was a member of the Princeton Church of God. She enjoyed spending time with her family.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Cob” Lawrence in 1999; one son, Dallas Lawrence; one grandson, Mark Lawrence; one brother, George Fox; and three sisters, Pearl Grimmet, Thelma Ballenger and Martha Arthur.Survivors include two sons, Robert Lawrence and his wife Mary and Homer Lawrence and his wife Shelby all of Princeton; three sisters, Eugene Keatley and her husband James of Indian Mills, Madine Buckland of Brunswick, Ohio and Nellie Foster of Wheeling; and three grandchildren, Dwayne Lawrence and his wife Peggy of Waldorf, Md., Deborah Clark and her husband Michael of High Point, N.C. and Phillip Lawrence and his wife Laura of Check, Va.Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2008 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Roy D. Martin and Dr. Ray Hurt officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
