Ruth Martin

Ruth Caroline Martin, age 88, of Clovis, NM, died Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at Retirement Ranch in Clovis. Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, February 12, 2010, at The Chapel with Bishop W. Charles Green officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories. Pallbearers will be Cody Martin, Allen Martin, Jayson Fenn, Heath Martin, Matisha Fenn, and Charmen Hudspeth. Honorary Pallbeares include Royce Martin, Jamal Coats, and Ryan Martin.
Ruth was born November 27, 1921, to George and Tina (Evans) May in Fond Du Lac, WI. She married George L. Martin November of 1967 in Nashville, TX. She worked as a waitress at the Ranchers and Farmers Steakhouse. She was a member of First Church of God in Christ. She enjoyed making homemade quilts, making baby blankets for unwed mothers, baking, and the company of her dog, Precious.
Survivors include her three sons, Frank A. Martin of Mesquite, TX, Henry "Butch" (Mickie) Martin of Lubbock, TX, and Roy (Marjorie) Martin of Los Lunas, NM; one daughter, Sue Fenn of Clovis, NM; 12 grandchildren, Christina, John, Jayson, Michael J., Ryan, Heath, Allen, Cody, Michael E., Matisha, Charmin, Royce, and Michael, and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George L. Martin, and grandson, George Edward Martin.
