Grandma was not perfect, but she was ours and she loved her family dearly. I love and cherish my time and memories with her. She loved to drink her coffee while telling stories about her past. To this day, coffee and burnt toast is one of my favorite odors because it reminds me of being at grandma´s house when I would sit there drinking coffee and talking with her. I remember when grandma would drop me off at kindergarten and she would stay looking through the window in the door until the teacher told her she needed to go. She would come back later to take me out of school because I was "sick" so we could go to McDonald´s. When I was a child, I would be in the closet on the phone with grandma for hours. At that time, calls out of state were collect and cost money. So, I had to hide when I made the calls. Gram had a good sense of humor. She loved to joke and laugh. She will forever be missed and in my heart.

May all the angels in heaven fluff your wings and make sure at night that you´re tucked in and wrapped softly and warmly in those beautiful blankets that you love so much! I miss you grandma and I loved our time together...

In the time that I knew her, she gave the warmest hugs. She was always worried about keeping you on the right track, making sure you had a hearty meal and a full tummy. I miss the breakfasts she made from the spicy peppers in the garden that would light you up like the Fourth of July. The big spaghetti dinners that brought the whole family together. Her smile was pure. Whenever she laughed it would just wash over her whole face and you could feel the joy. She was generous and thoughtful. I was so happy my son got to meet Great Grandma so he could experience, if only for those few precious moments, what made Grandma truly great. We love you. We will always miss you. We hope we make you proud and hope we have many great stories to tell you when we meet again in the Lord´s house. God bless you forever and always!

Mom, I thought of you today,
but that is nothing new.
I thought of you yesterday, and days before that too.
I think of you in silence, and often speak your name.
All I have are the memories and your picture in a frame. Your memory is my keepsake of which I'll never part.
God has you in His keeping; and I, have you in my heart. I am so happy that you visited us in Georgia last May 2022, We had so much fun. My children and grandchildren came in from South Carolina, Alabama, and Georgia and spent the week visiting with you. You were so happy and you enjoyed the grandchildren, and great grandchildren so much. They have such fond and loving memories of you. I love you mom, and we all miss you so very, very much!

Mom, memories of you will always be with me. Surely, God's garden must be even more beautiful with Dad and you there. I love you always.

Mom always loved being with the family no matter if it was having fun or volunteering for work. She made plenty of bears, blankets, and bagged tons of activity sets for Red Ribbon week for the SAFD to give out to students during fire safety week and SAPD to help families who applied for the Blue, the Children's Hospital and Center for Health Care Crisis as well as many other programs. We are glad to have so many fond memories of her in Texas.
