Ruth Morgan

Ruth Sams Morgan of Dahlonega passed away on October 2, 2015 . She was born on October 28, 1928 in Lovejoy, GA to the late Albert and Susie Sams. They moved to Sandy Springs shortly thereafter. She attended Hammond Elementary and North Fulton High School. In later years, she enjoyed getting together annually with surviving Hammond classmates.

Ruth was predeceased in death by her husband, J. Henry Morgan of Sandy Springs and her brothers, Oscar and Raymond. She is survived by a daughter, Darlene Jordon Alberson of Cumming; 2 sons, Larry Jordon and his wife, Alice of McDonough and Dave Jordon of Dahlonega; granddaughter, Jenny Jordon Davis and her husband, Matt of McDonough; great-granddaughter, Maisie Jane Davis and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to caregivers Linda McAdams and Linda Thompson. Their loyalty and kindness will forever be remembered.

A Service to celebrate the life of Ruth will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Roswell Funeral Home, she will be laid to rest in Green Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 1100 Sherwood Park Dr,suite 120, Gainesville, GA 30501 or Alzheimer's Association, 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 550, Atlanta GA 30346.
