Ruth Alice Rowley Morgan

Our beloved Mother, Grammy and Friend, Ruth Alice Rowley Morgan, 90, passed through the veil of this life and into the waiting arms of her eternal companion on May 4, 2022.

Ruth was born December 15, 1931 to Lorenzo Jewell Rowley, Jr. and Alice Corbett.

Ruth attended South High where she met and later married her high school sweetheart George Richard "Dick" Morgan on June 1, 1950 in the LDS Salt Lake Temple.

Together, Ruth and Dick raised four children: George Richard, Jr. "Rick" (Rhonda), Vickie Marie Ridgeway, Michael Dean (Jodi), and Angela Kay.

Throughout her long life, Ruth remained a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and served in many ward and stake callings. She also fulfilled several church service missions to Temple Square and Welfare Square.

Ruth was a homemaker who enjoyed working in her yard, quilting, tennis, participating in the events of the Horseless Carriage Club, and baking cookies, pies and rolls. She loved caring for others and touched the lives of all those whom she had come in contact with.

Ruth was very compassionate and showed sincere interest in everyone she knew, and was well loved and admired by all who knew her. She worked for several candy companies and enjoyed many friendships with customers over the years.

Ruth has 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren who lovingly refer to her as Grammy.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, daughter Vickie, son Mike, and siblings Wayne Rowley and Vera Horrocks.

Funeral services were held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Larkin Sunset Gardens (1950 E. 10600 S. Sandy, UT).
