Ruth ROGERS Obituary
89, of Tampa, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2016. Ruth was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Richard Leslie Rogers; her son, William Rogers; grandson, Kurt Rogers; and her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Larry (Jimmie) Rogers; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, and her five great-great-grandchildren. Ruth loved to be busy; she spent her most memorable moments traveling, off on missionary trips, and spending time with her church family. A visitation will be held at Carrollwood Baptist Church, 5395 Ehrlich Road in Tampa, on Aug. 4, from 3-4 pm, with a Memoriam Service at 4 pm. A private burial will be held at Florida National Cemetery. Visitation at the cemetery will be available after Aug. 4. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to please make memorial contributions to Life Path Hospice, who took great care of her in her final days, at 3010 W. Azeele Street, Tampa, FL 33609-9969. Our sincere condolences to all. I will always cherish speaking with her when she was at Jimmie and "Chief's" house. The way she would come over and love on my daughters was wonderful. She was a special lady to my family who always brought us joy and love. We will miss you Mom. Thank you for being the wonderful lady you are.

Ruth was a gentle and extremely kind lady. I know Larry and his family will miss her dearly.She loved you all very much and would not want you to be sad.I have so many good memories of living next door to her and family. Growning up I felt like she was my 2nd mother. Sorry we won't be there for her funeral,but my thoughts will be with you all! God will be watching over you all!

My condolences to the family on the loss of such a loved one. Ruth was a true christian and fine lady with an eagerness for life and serving her Lord. She had a love of her family and was so proud of every one of them. She holds a special place in my heart as I have many memories of our travels and spending time together.
