During grade school, Don, a few friends and I would play football and baseball (not organized, but who ever showed up after school or during the summer). We'd pick sides and have some fun until the 6 PM city whistle blew and all had to head quickly home. In the 50's that's what it was like. Don was agreed the smartest kid in the High School. We knew he'd do well at whatever he did. I admired him teaching college (as I am still teaching college with over 270 classes taught under my belt). He was a great person and helped so many. Yes, we graduated high school together.

Don and I went to HS together and played together in grade school. Lost track after HS, but he was one of the smartest in our 1966 graduating class. What a wonderful and giving to others person. Such a great loss.
