---
Born in 1920 to Mattie and Henry Bothe, Ruth grew up during the depression. The experience taught her to be frugal and never to complain. Even in later years of declining health she would always say Thank You every evening before retiring. Never in her life did she show real anger or say anything bad about anyone.

Ruth married Kay (F.D.) Wallace on November 26, 1940 and their love for each other was the basis of a strong family oriented life for which her sons Scott and Bob are forever grateful.

Ruth was responsible for the family joining Trinity Methodist Church which merged to become Centenary Methodist Church.

Penny was a Cub Scout den mother, choir member, youth sponsor, PTA and YMCA family member. She worked full time at Glendover School, and then for the new University of Kentucky dental school. Her final position was for the Fayette County Health Department being responsible for the new building being constructed .

Penny and Kaye's retirement lead to travel from Hawai to Spain and all over the USA. The Seniors of Centenary traveled near and far and provided great memories and fun.

The strong legacy of caring for your elderly parents was continued by her son Scott and Holly .

The Wallace family is especially grateful for the professional and compassionate care given by Heritage Hospice..
